this is so simple Im sure you've already heard of it, but I thought it was brilliant.

You can easily rig up the waterspray from the wiper motor to spray onto your FMIC or even add another washer bottle and motor (bout $24 from Repco) and switch, bung in a couple of sprinkler jets from Bunnings and hey presto water cooled FMIC ... Ive got a humungus FMIC on the Nissan... damn good idea I thought :) will add a couple of sprinkler jets and hose to the FMIC, bugger the windscreen :) Then it'll be a squeeze of the wiper doovy for a nice spray of water over the FMIC on demand..

It's not a new idea - long before FMICs when I was a poor student & couldn't afford to fix my mini's blown head gasket, I redirected the windscreen washers to the radiator for extra cooling :wink:

I've owned about 8 minis....and none of them have had a working windscreen washer system......

my new one will :)

hehe.. i've only just realised that's what that button is for...

and since then i've realise that the bottle was empty....

and since then i've only realised that the hoses aren't hooked up anyway :roll:

hook up a hose that just points straight out through the grill
works great for those people who think its funny to stand in the way of a little mini :wink:
