My clubby has a 2inch straight thru, to a muffler and 2inch tip. It sounds great, its got that loud "thwabbing" noise with that sharp, chippy after sound to it. Hard to describe im sure.
But i want more, something thats much louder, and somethign thats gonna be able to hear kms down the road. More thwab.

I had a 4inch cannon or simular in mind, but on this mini cruise, the loudest mini was the blue clubby gt, with a "hot dog exaust". And that sounded farkin kool, and really loud.
what would sound better?

i know most people will have bias oppinions, ricers etc etc.

but people use different things, and i need to know whats more worth it.

helpful comments greatly appretiated.

For volume, you need compression.

On a 998, stocko, you wont get it

You could try going 3-2-1 extractors (LCB type) and a single 'racing resonator', with a whatever tip from the resonator to the end.
Simple.
It works.
Its nice.
I had one for a while on my car.
While it lasted

i'd go with the cannon, just because i think they look awesome, and they sound pretty cool, should be loud enough shouldnt it?. im gonna get one on mine very soon... i asked a guy once about puttin one on and he said he didnt think he could do it because it'd hang down too low. what do i have to do for it to sit nice?

I have a three inch canon through a resonator on the moke (bloody loud and sounds fantastic), and a hotdog from 1.75 on my 998A+ . Both loud. Hotdog seems to have a warmer sound, and the canon gives a roaring noise, but that could have something to do with the weber! :D

Why on earth would anyone want to put a cannon on anything, let alone an English car?

Did someone say RICE?

one single muffler, similer in looks to the rc40, absolutely loud as hell.
when i drop a mate off in highett, 3 blocks up from the school corner lwason and noyes, he can hear me until i back off for the second round about on sandringham rd.
which is about a kilometer. and it's not a direct path for the sound either.

The hotdog system MadMatt builds is awesome! Beautiful deep note and retains the mini sound. Pretty loud too, especially in 2" form.

You want LOUD ?

A single unbaffled hotdog will do SFA to reduce noise levels, or promote harmony & understanding with the neighbours. Make sure you re-tune the engine to suit the free flowing exhaust but
