Ok, Starting to Think seriously about the Moke....

What would be the BEST brakes I could fit under the Stock 13" Steel Rims ?

I'm guessing the 8.4" Stock Moke ones, but just saw a 9.1" Accord conversion....

Anyone got any info on this ?

if you get a drum brake moke then go the honda conversion like josh's mini. Just make sure with if your going to get it engineered with a rotor you may need ventilated discs.

Yeah, he's the guy who does them. My car has been worked on by him for about 10 or 12 years for various owners (even though I've only owned it for about 18 months), and funnily enough this was the first prototype he built about 10 years ago. I think it says something for the quality of the conversion that very little has gone wrong with it in that time, but having said that, there are still a few improvements that have been made as well eg he has made the drive flange a lot stronger because one of the racing guys used to shear the old ones - not anymore!!!

Like I have said in other posts, both Alan (the guy who does the conversions) and my car will be at the swap meet on sunday (oh crap that's tomorrow!!) so you can have a look, and talk to Alan.

Yea, I've met alan a few times... he bought my ENTIRE STOCK of "S" Drums and Drum Drive Flanges....

I'm thinking a Ventilated setup would be ideal ....

well if the moke comes with disc hubs then you cant go past the metro turbo ventilated discs with 4 piston calipers, bolt on for about $400.

If the moke has drum hubs id go the camiras if there ventilated or the honda ventialted.

I'd be a bit concerned about Rota-Moke putting all that power through drum C/Vs and drive flanges..
With that in mind I'd use disc C/Vs & go the Camiras, like Nuke Mini had.
These still use drum swivel hubs.

(Crappit, missed a bit!)

Stock Porting should be good for about 130HP .....

Hmmm, CV's will be an issue I think.. Bugger......

Then again, How Much is Grant putting through Disc CV's ?
Brad, What CV's are you using ? - i thought they were Drum ones ?

Brad & Grant are both using disc CVs, swivel hubs, & drive flanges...... :wink:
