Hey all
i was just wondering what sort of disk breaks you can get for a mini
i have 12x5's and am looking to put a set of disks on what should i do?
i heard hondas r good any others?

There's at least 1 guy in Hobart running the Honda Civics, he's had them engineer approved there too.
Can't remember who it was though... I would have to trawl back thru 12 months of emails...:roll:

yeah, few people are running them in tas, a set got stolen from a mini a while back, there is a set on a moke, and heaps kicking round wreckers. i got my 2 sets for $10 from my local garage. but also, for the right price, the wilsons will do it for u. ph 62725056.

sam, for more info, search for the "honda disc brake conversion" here, or on mini portal.

8.4" discs from 1985 Minis onwards are easy to get, stop well, and slot under 12" rims. You also don't have to worry about conversions or anything like that.

Yep, depends which road you want to go down. Civic disks can be a cheap option, but once you get all the enineering done, it can still add up. 8.4" discs would be my personal choice, and as said, no engineering needed. 8)

ok i have called around a few places and i am trying to find some disk breaks the guys are like what size im like up to 8" lol the guy si slike thats a bit general im like :? off a civic and hes like they r big disks arnt they im like i dunno what should i be asking for like
What model Civic
how big ect.
PLEASE HELP

85-86 Civic..maybe earlier...they are closer to 9.1"
