Should go straight in except you'll need to change the rods. Pistons too?

Crank will go in, use your 998 rods (exactly the same) but you need 1098 pistons. Pin to crown height is different by 0.148". 8)
Good mod- gives it something 998s don't have... TORQUE!

Yep Hypatecs are good. Better than most other 1098s pistons still available, IMO.

That's what I'm running at the moment, and it does make a difference. Get yourself a 12g295 head, and you will notice even better performance. :D .........Oh! Just so happens I have one here you can buy....just needs new valves  Will let it go with a decent offer 8)
