Does anyone have a model number or something so I can get a price on a new Gemini starter motor, or would I be better off with a new mini starter motor?

My Gemini starter motor cost me $150 (brand new - trade price). If you are geting one from a non-Mini place or wreckers, make sure it is the right model Gemini starter, as not all models will fit.

If you want a new pre-engaged starter, I'd get one designed for it.
`Revolution' HMG815, $165 approx from Heritage MG.
Bolts right into early Minis (like 99% of ours) and no butchery required.
Spins a Mini like a top.
24months warranty too. Sez so on the box... 8)

Won't fit roundnose with an S cooler though, nor will a geMINI one...

Dr im having the same hassles of the gemini starter and the oil cooler not being able to fit it in the right place, but i will make it work as i need to fit another radiator in the front of my car also so next week i have my work cut out for me getting it all in a small engine bay on a round nose.

all rear wheel drive gemini starter motors should fit as i'm pretty sure they are all the same, (except for the deisel geminis  ). you definatly don't want one from a RB Gemini as they are the newer front wheel drive versions.
