I have a few sets of the Goodridge Stainless Steel Braided lines from mini spares so i thought i would check and see if they where ok to use in QLD
I called the QLD transport modifications section and they said stainless steel Goodridge lines where ok on cars and bikes
call them if you have a similar set of qs 32534851and make sure for yourselves but that was what i got told

Note - Check as i take no responsibility for others BUT i will be putting them on

Thanks Marc, hopefully if they are legal in QLD then they should be in the ACT. Hopefully this is something my engineer can sort out but that's a great lead... Also Marc whats the "qs 3....." where do I find this on the lines...??

Will do Marc re the engineer (he may even supply a definitive answer Ye Gads). The things that gets me is they must sell a shedload of these kits in the UK and I would have thought that if they sold something that didn't pass MOT's (their version of ADR and rego inspection), then punters would be returning them in droves, which doesn't seem the case...

Got a letter today Transport Dept. Motor Vehicle Inspectorate Engineering Instruction
QLD transport has approved a number of braided brake lines that comply with ADR 7/00

It gives a list and Has GOODRIDGE

This hose is manufactured by Goodridge Ltd and following id details must be embossed on the line nipple

Goodridge - Company Name
Type 1 - Type of Hose
Month and Year of Manufacture

The external diameter of the hose is 5.0mm excluding protected sheath, 63mm with sheath and internal diameter of 3.2 mm

This is getting ridiculous i dont think the Mini Spares ones have any of this stuff just looking at it how does all that fit on the line nipple????????
