I have the studs, just not the nuts! I have also located an ACL head gasket. The head is off again. All i need to do now is pray that the broken bolt end comes out easily.

Kev, bring your Dellorto jets with you too. For some reason the car is running REALLY rich... all the valves are black! are the air corrections too small now that the head breaths better?

No hair dryers please, good old atmospheric induction thanks 8) Keep it clean now boys

First things first though, before I can dyno or anything like that, Lillee needs to be registered this week  I don't know if my rear tyres will make it :(

So should I keep my el crappo (newish) front tyres or go $400 and get Yokos all around?

After this head is back on, I need to put on bonnet straps. That's a 10bhp mod right there!

can i bring my south african 1100 over to play also?
37mm inlet valves, 12G940 11 stud head, lightened and balanced rods pistons and crank, lightened flywheel and runs on a single 1.75 carb.
runs a 10.1 1/8mile sprint, its not bad but could be a lot better.
Its naturally aspirated and will give a R32 turbo a run for its money over the 8th mile.

Mini Suzuki had no flanged nuts, only early type- so today I turned up some nice steel washers, 4mm thick. From Good Aussie Steel..
Not like those crappy thin Chinese ones that all the hardware stores sell now.
Friggin useless they are...

Oh yeah baby, I painted the rocker cover bolts too today... 1bhp right there easy!

I also took the liberty of fixing a few loose ends while the head was off. Wow so much more room in there!
