So I have an issue......when driving my mini my ignition light brightens up depending on the amount of revs the engine is doing. The more revs the brighter the light. The light is basically not on when idling. What would cause this? Car has a generator.

That sounds backwards from normal. I'd check it's wired properly and see what the battery voltage is doing at idle and under revs

Check your voltage regulator relay is not fixed open - a spring actuated set of points.

Turns out it was my harmonic balancer. It loosened and came off destroying the key way. The light coming on wh
