It will fit but is a different profile at the top compared to what was originally fitted by BMC Australia.

Just a quick note on these Tridon non-locking caps. I bought one from Repco yesterday, and whilst it fits in the neck of the tank, there’s a good 5mm or more of a gap from the tank to the seal. There’s no way it’ll ever hold fuel.

Back to the drawing board, as they say.
