The engine steady bracket that is welded to the bulkhead on my mini 850 shell has been removed by the previous owner. I have ordered a new bracket but I need the measurements so as to be able to weld the new bracket. Many thanks.

Does/should it have the plate which goes under the master cylinders and is the top half of the bracket? That would at least give you the horizontal position.

Bolt the body end of the engine steady together (with its top and bottom mounts).

Bolt the top mount in place.

The bottom mount will now be exactly where it needs to be welded to the cross member...

Voila!! ..as the Froggies say :D

Cheers, Ian
