I have found this in a pile of Mini parts I acquired.

Notice there is a hole in the new rubber while everything on google has no hole. Any explanations out there.

First time I've seen one with a hole in it. I'd say an aftermarket part by someone.

Attached are photos of original 21A1517 and new ones available today. The new one is not as thick as the original.

I reinstalled the old buffer during my rebuild. It will be interesting to see if the 50 year old part outlasts the new one. I know what my money is on.
