OK, I admit I have been out of the room for some time but again I need help.

Can some kind soul tell me where I can get the material to cut and line the boot of Moneypit?

Grazie mille.

My bad. I mean the lining material on the inside of the boot lid.

Not sure about sourcing the original patterned fibreboard but pre-cut boards are available from most mini outlets. P/n 14A9838 with screws and cup washers.

Is this for the 970 or the the Aussie S?

If it's the the Aussie S then John at Mini Kingdom had the original boot lid liner material.

Cheer's Pete

John is no longer at Mini Kingdom, and doesn't have any board left.

If I get time I am going to check out these two imitation leathers in Spotlight today.

https://www.spotlightstores.com/sold-by ... BP80479129

https://www.spotlightstores.com/sold-by ... 7682-black

If they are similar pattern to the original boot board, I am thinking they may be glued to 3.2mm Masonite available at most hardware stores. Depending on the thickness of the leather it could end up close to 3.8mm as per the original. I still have an original boot board in my 69 Mk 2 S. Although a little tatty, I will be able to see if the pattern matches.

No luck with the leatherette at Spotlight. The pattern is much finer than the photos suggests.

However, I am still going to persist to see if I can find a vinyl that may be suitable. Attached is a photo of the centre panel of my wooden dash. This centre panel has been covered with a very rough pattern vinyl. On the right bottom corner is a piece of my original boot board. I reckon the vinyl on the centre section of dash would be as close as I have seen to the original pattern.

I have owned my car for the last 30 years and came with the dash as it is today. Whether I can find another vinyl with the same pattern will be interesting.

You'll need to look at a specialist Motor Trimming supplier such as Daley's or Classic Coachworks or similar.
