I still can't get over my door prize at Graham Russel's today!!! OMG I was expecting the prize to be a keyring or something geeky like that but a fully ported head with unleaded valve seats  Holy Fast Metal Batman!

Well then, what do I need to bolt this baby in? Here is my preliminary list:

Head Gasket (I'll get this from Greg M)
New Cam followers (Karcraft?)
New rocker cover gasket (already got)
Tappet cover gasket x2
1 RE13 cam 8)

Anything else? to take the cam out do I need to replace any gaskets down there?

I might go Dyno Lillee at Greg's before the head and cam (stocko 1098 with a dellorto and extractors), then after the head and cam to see what the difference is. Could be interesting... I think it will be close to Mini Mad's clubman at around 45bhp at the wheels... What do you reckon? does that mean Lillee is running a good 30 BHP now? (What a beast! )

Get an `ACL' VRS gasket set off Greig, that has head gasket, manifold, rocker cover & the thermostat and heater ones too..

You will also need a timing cover gasket and seal.
:!: Fit your double row timing chain while you're in there...

Karcraft's cam followers are good (~$50/set)

I'll swap you my spare RE-13 (will get GR to freshen it up) for your stock S cam blank & $50.

Yeah, but to fit the double row timing chain, you need to countersink the backing plate and use the allen head screws. You won't be able to do that with it still on the engine will you?

Sweet! I think my gearbox rebuild kit has a timing cover gasket... right?

So all I need is tappet cover gasket, the head gaskets from Greg and karcraft cam followers...

Sweeeeeet 8)

Has head been skimmed? I thought 295 cc was large as stock due to cooper flat tops? won't it need a skim to suit the 1100?

Graham, yeah it's already had a fair bit off the head... We'll have to either test it or ask Graham what CR it's running.

No no blower necessary

I am confident that Lillee is currently perfectly setup within 95% so it will be interesting what numbers she will get out of Greg's dyno at current setup. once the head is on we'll try it again for laughs
