sick ladd... how did you fix the carpet to the bootlid?

Another way to fix carpet is Kwik Grip glue. Smear some one the car, some on the carpet, wait 2 mins then stick em together :)

Whatcha talkin about, I'm full of positives, I'm positive that bottle of oil you put in the boot will split and ruin the carpet

I like the original look. Bought the boot board mounting kit from mini spares in the UK 22.57 pounds sterling ( p/n CCC115 ) . 12mm ply board 900 x 600 from Mitre 10. Daley's upholstery supplies (195 Miller Rd Villawood) had a boot mat square for $15. Using a book by John Parnell, "original MINI COOPER AND COOPER S " The Restorer's Guide I cut the ply to the same shape as an early MK1 Cooper i.e single tank. Brackets were pop riveted on as per original ,using book photo for reference. Mat was cut to shape on the boot lid but still waiting to contact cement mat to board till I decide on a suitable edging.
