New Project Car in the shed a couple of weeks ago and I'm looking at a front end build/repair. Tradition says, use new panels and gaps to state dimensions yet, with the amount of jogging the shell's had and the high inaccuracy of replacement panels I'm here looking for some quality specifications. :D

So where or who can I cajole to get some detailed reference dimensions.

EG: height of bonnet at front corners, curve specs for front valance??? does any of this exist in the public arena?

Hi Bessel,
I’m not sure there are any specific measurements available for the dimensions you are asking about. From past experience I find it is all about how the panels look when they line up and years of experience at owning minis and looking at other cars to see how their panels line up. I have spent many hours fitting ne guards and front valance to line up with the bonnet with equal and minimal gaps all around and then after paining and fitting the bonnet latch and rubber buffers the bonnet no longer fits snug :?
I would try and find a few other minis to look at and take measurements to help answer your questions.

Have a look at the alignment section in the workshop manual here - http://www.ausmini.com/manuals/Mini%20W ... 20Body.pdf
