It would appear that Ausmini is Dying
Posts just sit on page one for days and days, in times gone by they would be on page two before you could blink because of the Glut of constant posts.
Could it be because of the Multitude of Mini Pages on Facebook?
Surely others have noticed this?

As peterb says "what's Facebook"

I know I'm not that old and you can call me old skool, but I do refuse to use that crap.

I'm on Ausmini almost daily and enjoy the read, research for my project and banter that like minded mininuts have, I also post when I have something to contribute or suggest.

I hope Ausmini isn't dying........there is too much valueable info on this site for it to disappear into 1's and 0's!

Cheers Shane

You're correct Sitnlo62.

I did notice the same, like Minimods section of Ausmini sat still for a month.

How about a revival? Everyone post one topic on Ausmini in any section and we all post a for sale advert? Sell any Mini part you like. Just a thought.

Too many of us have got the sh1ts with our minis and are letting them rot in the shed. Dodgy parts, high costs and poor workmanship have really taken the fun out of them for me. I didn't log into Ausmini for about 2 months and I caught up pretty fast. [EDIT: I just realised I have 28 pages of unread posts in Mini Chat. I guess I haven't been on here properly since September. In the old days I would log in more than once a day.]

When the cars are annoying you then the only reason to come to Ausmini is for the banter. The days of Cush, willy and the other funny bastards seem to be long gone.

I'd be really happy if a bunch of minis would turn up to Cars & Coffee each month or maybe Webby's Old School nights. Maybe I'll find the love again and log in here more often.

M

Snarky comments and telling new people to search always annoyed me on other forums . This is friendlier but still happens. New blood is what ticks forums over

If I'm carrying on like a pork-chop, I'm having a great time.

If I go very quiet there's a very good chance I broke something.

I just tried the other mini forum site to see how busy it is and I can't seem to find it. Has the Minidriver forum closed up shop?

Many other car forums have nearly died due to facilebook.
Truly a shame to see resources like RedlineGti fade away.

Hope this forum stays strong. Almost every question you could ask about Aussie minis has already been answered here and by experts. I don't have a lot of faith in the expertise of many facebook users. I use the search function on here like the index page of a car manual.

I have been looking at the AU Starlet Club website for information on my engine conversion. The forum is all but dead now, as everyone just uses facebook instead.

It's a real shame though. If you want to refer to a topic that was discussed months or years ago, facebook doesn't have the format to allow for that. A quick search here and I can find the information I want, it's much harder on facebook. I for one will keep coming here instead of the facebook page.

There is a lot of lurking going on. People seem to be using the "book of the face" to get quick answers. Maybe its time someone made a Aus Mini Facebook group??

I as well home this forum stays strong, it is an amazing resource for the newly initiated.
