Cheers

Quick bricks alright! What a great day of racing today. GR beat the track record for Nc mini in the morning then beat it again in the arvo on his way to a thrilling win. Beautiful car with lots of grunt and very well driven. In fact the minis were by far the best presented type. There were lots of old Alfas that were nicely presented plus a few more 'race car' looking. Several looked as good as the trailer queens you see at the Muster. There were 6 RX2s and they were almost all old war horses with lots of 'character' and battle scars.

The HRCC put on a great event for spectators and the mini racing was the highlight.

A shout out to the QLD crew Ken, Jill Nelson and the Duce family who looked after us at Morgan Park Historic Event 2-3 July 2016.

This was my 3rd visit to Morgan Park Raceway, and I can't wait to return soon, I would encourage more interstate interest in this event it's FUN and the people helpful and friendly.

Apart from a brilliant event, beautifully presented minis, terrific racing, a great circuit and (my favourite) - a mini only feature race. You would not find better quality, more helpful people.

Please look to show your support in QLD next year.

Chris

HI All
I would like to say a special thanks to Ken for supplying all three trophies for the Mini Race, they are some thing to be very proud of,the meeting it's self has to be the best race meeting of the year and well worth the time and money to compete at,
It's so nice to be treated like you are important to the race meeting and just not another number, every body from the organisers of the meeting to all the volunteers who help run the meeting who bend over backwards to help you in any way they can wether it be on the circuit or off the circuit or needing some thing for your car they are there to help with a smile on there face.
A couple of mini's had a little problem over the week end but with the help of mini drivers the cars were back on the grid for the next race every body is just there to help and make it the best weekend for every body.
I think there is a lot to be learnt from the way this race meeting is run by the HRCC of QLD and may be we would have more people at race meetings, and they have special heaters up there from -3 in the morning to 25deg at miday :D.
The only thing I was disappointed with was my Hero was not racing (Jill Nelson) an inspiration to us all because her car was not finished, BAD, BAD KEN but Jill will be there next year to show us how to do it.
Graham Russell

Hi all , I agree with everyones comments. My wife and myself made the long trek from Victoria (car 17) and were rewarded with great hospitality , perfect weather, very close racing , a challenging track , not a mark on the car and a huge grin .... I am sure a few other mini racers would be suitably rewarded by also entering next year ... Well done GRR , "cream rises to the top" as the saying goes.. A special thanks to Ken and Jill Nelson cheers Lindsay Siebler
