I got my gearbox back today. Mk 2 s box with 3.65 diff so i hope to have it all up and runnin in three weeks time. and then i will replace the twin su's with my 45 webber on redline maifold. I am also thinkin of cutting and then making brackets so i can remove the peice behind the mostache on my roundy for easyier access like a cluby. Has anyone done this before. but it seems pretty easy.

sounds like a nice setup.... Just make sure that part you want to cut can be bolted in secure as its a pretty structle part of the front and also holds the bonnet down.

Sounds like an interesting mod but..... How often would you get the advantage of doing this?

well i have had the car for about 15 months now and the engine has been out 4 times. for one reason or another. but just think easy access to the dizzy. easy to pull the engine out. and it will only take about an hour anyway. i will take pictures of when i doit and post it

made sum progress. checked the end floats for the idler gear and the primary gear and they are good i will be posting sum pics up later.
