G'day all,

It's hot and I've got brainfade.

Have just fitted the D4R83 to my Minor.
I want to take the distributor drive out and rotate it by one tooth clockwise to give me better clearance between the oil pressure warning sender and the vacum advance unit.

Assuming I get everything lined up timing wise, am I right in believing that there will be no problem with the standard timing marks lining up when No. 1 is firing?

I need to use a timing gun to get it set correctly, so I need the timing marks to line up.

That's right - isn't it?

Equally stupid question. Why use a Pulsar dizzy as opposed to the standard A+ dizzy?

A+ dizzy uses a different drive dog.

The pulsar distributor is more accurate

Electronic ignition lets you fire bigger plug gaps and gives a better spark

Pulsar dizzy isn't lucas :P

No points

the pulsar conversion is probably as easy as converting an A+ dizzy

Pulsar dizzy is probably cheaper than what you'd get a A or A+ dizzy for

my 2c
