Just make sure you use the cement too - otherwise the clamps wont seal the pipes completely - then you have phhhhttt phhhhttt phhhhttt and the gas escapes.

A trick - put it on the pipe thats going to slide INSIDE the bit you are connecting to otherwise you are just goint to scrape it off into the middle of the pipe hence blocking it somewhat. I use U-clamps on the mufflers and double them up on each joint, turning them about 120 degrees to each other so you get a good seal.

You wont look back - have fun installing them(get a friend - hindsight is such a wonderful thing...lol

i run a maniflow lcb extractor set then take it to an exaust place and get them to put a straight 1.75 inch pipe on it with a small muffler and a decent tip. sound good, look how you want them to and perform well. i have that sort of system on both my road and race car.. never had troubles.. ive been told after a while rc40 systems die off.

Yep... I put it on the outside of one and the inside of the other... helps them slide into each other.

I made sure I got someone :) I removed my old system then looked at what needed to go back on, rang my dad and said "Feel like getting dirty?" And no that isn't a sexual question... I'm NOT from Tassie :P

I intend to get the new system fitted when the new head goes on, so that might make it a lot easier to fit with the head off ...

No problems with someone helping because I will leave it all for the mechanic to worry about...

This is the exhaust note with the system I have on it at the moment.. 3 in 1 extractors with a small hotdog up front and a 2" straight through muffler on the back end...

1030cc with a standard 12g202 head... Once I put the new exhaust system on, I will make another video clip but that will probably be a couple of weeks away yet..

Looks good Smokie.
Very familiar

I advise installing with head off.

I tried to install on my car and the elbow just before the 2-1 is too big to fit between the engine and the firewall. Take the head off, ot loosen the engine mounts and it should slot straight in.

I hope that you enjoy it.

Mine's exactly the same and I got it down there without taking the head off.

True, true... I'm glad someone other than myself finally realised that!
