Actually I was going to guess GT28R which is really a GT2560 anyway, the one you have. My maths would suggest this is a lazy turbo but with lots up top, ie too much boost down low will be in surge area, be interesting to see how it runs on your engine.
Yeah, we were worried about that but it seems fine. If I just ran a GT2560R off the shelf I think I would be over the surge line for sure - but with the smaller A/R on turbine and compressor I think its fine.
It pulls from the same rev (starts at 2500-2700 and makes full boost around 4000rpm) my actuator is setup wrong - not enough preload so there is wastegate creep - but ill sort that easy.
How can you really tell if you are over the surge line? I mean, if its on the car, etc can you feel it or detect it somehow?

I have been looking at options for mine while the engine is out, now all I need to do is work out how to get more than 160hp out of the EFI (it's current limit due to the charge robbing).
Haha, simple to fix that mate - piss off the EFI and stick on a HIF44
Seriously, I think the only way to properly fix charge robbing is to change the setup - true individual runner throttle bodies but thats not really an option on a siamese port is it...
I think the other alternative is to start looking at the Lobe centerline angle...
Again - I reckon either stick on an 8 port or go back to HIF44

easy over 160hp matey...

)
Thanks mate, will see how we go ay.
Yeah I used to shoot weddings for a living - usually when you say 'No probs, I will rehearse the wedding if you let me rehearse the drinking, partying and wedding night - then they let you go
