you'd have to ask brickworx, im not familiar with the rover stuff, but i would think that would be okay.

Yep, that's a late model HS4. It would be fine on an 850 with a needle and spring change.

Its ok sports850 has been kind enough to help me out with parts, a big thank you to sports850 for his efforts :) and thank you to everyone this has me started in the right direction.

I still need the spacer in between the carb and the manifold so if anyone has one that would be great. I've also put this up in the wanted section.

it'd be fine, but as I referred to before, if you want to run extractors with that manifold, it'd need to be cut... if you weren't concerned about extractors, then you're on a winner, might even connect up to your existing exhaust system, though would be a little asthmatic. According to Mr Vizard, you'd be looking at a H6 or an M needle without extractors.

Adding extractors to an engine will give more performance gain than adding carb - consider this, if you can't get the gases out, what's the point of trying to shove more in...
