The kits come with basic instructions and a nice big diagram. It's not too hard to work out, might help if you've got a book aswell. But they are fairly simple.

thanks for the help people. Anyone know if these kits come with instruction? never opened a SU up before, anything i shouldnt undo or play with?

Plugs in it are NGK BP6ES and there brand new, but are black as the ace of spades :?

Goto 5ES and check your points before you go and buy a kit. Do the cheap things first i always say. I have an SU that is pulled apart you can have a look at on wednesday, or you can have a look at a nice little book i have on them.

Cheers

Aaron

Can't argue with advice like that, esp since plugs are ~$15

DON'T UNDO the big nut around the main jet to the body. No need to. If you do you will have to centre the jet again which is a bit of a PITA.
The main jet just pulls out the bottom. Follow the diagram as said above.
Whole job will take about 30 mins.
 Get some carb & throttle body cleaner and use to get all the varnish etc out of the bowl and clean the parts. Cleans alloy up a treat. 8)
