Goodluck getting a carbon fiber flip front engineered

Oops, did I say flip? Sorry, it's just going to be removable at the moment. Yes I know, I need to find a good engineer to talk about it. I've read through the NCOP which talks about it, and the only thing annoying I found was that I need to get the material tested ( which means I need a sample of it somehow ) and I may need to fit a collapsible steering column... if thats even possible

BUT, that was talking about fibreglass

Else, I make a call to Brickworx and get a steel front again ( my old one had waaay too much rust, hence out come the grinder )

Carbon Fibre hey? I understand it may be for lightness but the cost would be phenominal. The are plenty of fibreglass ones around or the engineer MAY consider a steal one.
Not looking to put crap on your ideas but we've seen it before. People looking to spend squillions on their car only to run out of money or loose motivation once they realise how much it cost and how long it takes.
No thats ok JC, I've had this thing for a while, lost motivation... got it again, etc. How much do you think it would cost? I've sent a few emails, made a few calls, and I was very surprised... now I just need to find out the extra duty and GST. I figure while it's like this I may as well do it right and do it once

I know how much most things cost, the only thing I'm not to sure of is the labor and materials for the subframe.

P.S. Yes Jason have always wanted to!
Sweet, I'll PM you.
Did I mention I want to do it without extending the front?
