Hey Guys,
I have a Mini Clubman (78')
I have been offered a 1.3L Rover Injected motor, not sure if its spi or mpi. I'm just wondering if it is a worth-wile conversion over a carby 1275cc. because its looking like one or the other. I doubt i can afford a starlet conversion or the like at this stage.

i figured that the rover motor may be a better option as i believe they are a later build (am i correct?) and therefore more likely to be in good condition.

would this sort of conversion be "bolt in" or would i still need a different subframe ect..?

Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Matt

If it's fuel injected you'll need an efi fuel tank. Yes it should bolt straight in. Have you got disc breaks, you'll need them for a legeal roadworthy

SPi: 53 (3.1:1 FD) and 63HP (3.2:1 FD)
MPi: 63HP only (2.76:1 FD)

sadly not all engines are in good condition, just opened a 53 SPi engine and gearbox and its not realy worth to rebuild it
