A 4age is about 50 or so mm longer than a 4efte and can be fitted to a normal track car as per the links.
The equal drive shaft extensions some people are using (myself included) come from a 4age 20v engine and gearbox and these run standard mini track.

Yeah I saw those and understand that the standard track doesn't need to be increased. I was just trying to figure out why the track of the Rich's white 4AGE Mini is so wide (about 4-5 inches either side)

I also blame my Dad for me being 6' 1" - not really the optimum height for driving a Mini.

probably just makes it easier - like extending the front, could be done without stretching, but harder...
