I have needed to replace the diff output side cover bearings on my S box and the new ones require reaming. Does anybody know the running clearance for these. Running Hardy Spicer couplings.Image

5 thou is too much, I bore them in the lathe to .002" clearance.
If they bind something is pushing the drive flange out of line, probably a bent collet inside it.

Go with the Docs measurement. Dont worry about me - i was thinking of the freeplay when they are rocked back and forth.
