Bought a fan belt, tried to find an adapter for the Speco Temp gauge probe and got blank looks fron Supercheap bird and Ripco kid.

well I was going to do a motorkhana, but it the weather was rotten yesterday, so we cancelled the khana - the ground would have been sodden today, but the weather wasn't too bad

Stripped the under carriage back to bare metal. Found some more holes in the passenger side floor :(

Put the distributor back in. Checked out the firing order and made sure the leads connected to the correct plugs.

Question: Graham R told me to change the plugs. I have BP6ES and I think because of the higher compression it would have to be BP7ES (colder).

Spent all weekend putting in a SPI motor, fired up first kick :)
But the water pump is leaking :( so out with radiator and put another one in.

Took it for a run out to Armadale, then broke the clutch on the way back :cry:

Had to baby it through the last three roundabouts. clutch wouldn't disengage, but would also slip if given more than 1/5th throttle. Add one more job to the list :roll:

I also found out what it's like to have water running in through the slide window channels.

I worked on Traveller number 2. I did some cleaning of the engine, and some electrical connections. I installed a new ignition switch so I can started with a key instead of hot wiring it. And I fixed enough connections so that I can now properly install a battery and get power to the car. More tomorrow.
