Front underlay and carpet sorted. Door opening alloy bottom strips in. Ignition, lights and wipers switches in. Steering column wiring sorted. Front seats in on their dodgy mounts. Pedal box in for the last time. Accelerator pedal in. Pedal pads on. Shifter boot in. Steering column in and rack U-bolts done up.

The interior just needs seatbelts, dash cluster and dash trims on and it is finished.

Finally got my cylinder head back from the machine shop today!! Fully serviced (had stuffed valve guides and 2 broken valve springs) and a nice port and polish. Bought some nice accessories inc some retractable seat belts. Looking forward to getting her back on the road again!!!

Put up the market umbrella so I could work on the mini without melting in the Perth heat.
Started to remove windows but had a lot of trouble with the old rubber trims etc. Got very frustrated but then checked How To Section and found salvation. Phew.

Timmy201 gave me a hand with finding my compression ratio on the 1310. Results came up with 9.9:1 which I'm pretty happy with 8)

Front support doesnt reach subframe so I've just put it on the most solid point of the sill. Lifted it a few times and it hasnt crushed so at the moment I think its safe that way. Would not mind something to extend it to the subrframe though. but that means the supports will go /\ inwards as opposed to \/ outwards which I would imagine is more stable! so long as the sills dont bend I'll be happy though
