Actually have something to report for the first time since this thread started (apart from driving it or glancing at the car as i walked to/from the station)

Today I started to try to fix my wipers, which have never really worked properly since I've had the car. My first attempt last year got as far as replacing the motor but although it helped a little, it didn't solve the problem.

Got started late (mid-arvo) and then inbetween bouts of gastro/running to the toilet and taking care of our 10 month-old munchkin, removed the bonnet, got the wiper motor & cable-thingy out, degreased and cleaned up the thingy, stuck pipe cleaners into the channel to see how mucky it was (not bad) and considered removing the wheelboxes.

Then realised that I didn't know where i'd put the new wheelboxes that I got ages ago, so decided not to go any further until they had been found. Hopefully fine them tomorrow and do the wheelbxes -

I hate how the f-ing Haynes manual says, (along the lines of 'simply remove the two bolts.... blah blah blah' then has this diagram of the wheelboxes right underneath the window, innaccessible to all but the most dextrous and/or small fingers...there's never a trained monkey or 8-year-old slave child on hand when you need one, is there??

I removed my fingerprints by sanding the paint on the roof, now i need more 1200 paper to carry on tomorrow.

My clubby now has more room in the shed due to me throwing out old paint tins and collections of unused stuff.

Repinned and rebushed 4 door hinges for Brad (13secmini).
Geez I hate people who drill out door hinges and fit dodgy homemade oversize `bit of a bolt' bushes..... lucky only 1 was like this.

Installed the steering rack - what a PITA that is. Easy getting it out - lot harder getting it back. Now what have I done with the chome bolt that holds the column to the dash bracket :?

took the donk out of my grunt (after making a goose out of myself asking about block removal while still in the car  )
Then went for a drive and picked up another donk to eventually drop in from a top bloke!
