Had another go at getting the van to run properly over about 3000 rpm... without success

Although I can at least hit 110km/h now, I just can't hold it up any sort of hill. I'm beginning to think some clown has had some fun with a can of expanding foam... I can only get 13L into the 27L fuel tank, and it won't rev..

contemplated bathing it tomorrow but decided against it. Will be packing up mini parts to take to new place. Have lots of little side mirrors and such that are no good to me

Welded the exhaust pipe halves back together (MiniSport suggested cutting in half - reduced freight from $64 to $18 for shorter parcel)
DIY'd a heater pipe baulkhead plate by drilling two 1" holes in the original flat plate ( the hole saw just made it before dieing  )
Cannibalised two starter motors to make one good one and blinged it up with a coat of black paint and now I'll play around with electro zinc plating the cover band on the end.
Worked out where the springs go on the twin carby setup.
Found out Mini engines are born with oil leaks  My helicoiled sump plug hole is leaking

Washed my Mini for the first time since I bought it. :D  That's a little over two years. It got wet about a year ago, and has been dusty since. Now it gleams again. :D And I can see all the chips and nicks in the paint. :( 7 month old sat in the passenger seat (inside a booster seat, with the belt on) while I pushed it from where I washed it to where it's garaged. :D
