When I did the 850 floors I borrowed a portable Cadillac grit blaster from work. Uses steel grit and also has a vac hood around it to suck up all the grit and crud. Similar to a VacuBlast machine. No mess... :D

Probably worth about $5K now though...!

You think your floors are good, until you hit them with a blaster... yech!

Supercheap also sell the sand for them too in containers a kinda black oxide - pretty cheap.
It is good cause you can keep sweeping it up and reusing it.
