So does anyone actually have any hard evidence as to what a Mini engine should actually run at ... "normal" not racing conditions..

ie what actual water temps = "N"??

And what voltage (Mk I/12 V system) is the equivalent of a "normal (N)" and hot (H) gauge readings????

Cheers, Ian

In case it helps, the BMC engineering drawing for the Smiths temp gauge used in the MK II Series Minis (part AYA9168) says:

"52 degrees C at the Cold position and 120 degrees C at the Hot position".

It would probably be around the temperature of the standard thermostat.
