Well yeah KB, it has your S gear set, but in a remote box not your rod change one.

After 2650km, due to a top ring failure we had to change the pistons and bore it again. So, it's got 1387cc now, not 1377. I'll let Laingy tell the sad story.

Put 175 main jets into the 45 Dellorto instead of the 170s. It's less cranky when dead cold now. :)

I looked at mine on night shift at the moment keeping the streets safe. Can't wait to start to use it once I get it pitted and registered next week.

On night shift until Thursday. Can't walk past the garage without sneezing a peek at her. Only had it five days can't wait to start using it and getting it ready for the tassie mini fest in November.

Assembling a SCCR gearbox for a friend and was at the stage of fitting the (Quaiffe) diff in place. Set it all up with shims, screwed down the side covers - all good :D . Then went to torque the bolts up and 3 were soft, so off with the side covers and out with the helicoil kit
The output shafts are similar to the pot joint set up with wire spring clips that hold the Hardy-Spicer drive flanges in place. One of these snapped when sliding the flange on and of course the broken bits ended up inside the side cover, which then had to removed to recover the bits. Made a new spring clip from an old door spring, refitted side cover and drive flange. Ended up covered in sticky gasket goo mixed with blood from where the spring bit my finger
Another simple job that took all afternoon to accomplish - the weather was shocking so at least I ended up doing something useful

This is one of those repairs where the outcome is sooooo much better than the original thread.

Flushed out my crankcase and gearbox with half a tank of petrol... then started removing the mechanical fuel pump so that I can put a kit through it :-(

Spent the whole of yesterday assembling a 1100 +040 short motor following Graham Russell's small bore project notes to the letter, still not finished.
