On the run back from Rylestone I noted the remote shift getting stiffer to move.
So I pulled the gearstick out, cleaned it and re-lubed the ball socket and plastic bits with fresh Castrol HTB grease. All nice again now. :)

Did you use a really slow shutter speed due low ambient light or are those side lights really really bright? Great shot either way 8)

I took it over the weighbridge yesterday afternoon.
It wouldn't work for me, even though I had successfully taken a work car there two hours before, & I made sure I stopped on the same scales too. :( I shouldn't be THAT light! I was going to back up & try one of the other scales, but a semi arrived so I had to get out of the way. I'll try again some other day.

There's a weight tax?! I don't even add sugar on my cereal at breakfast!

Pressed the hydro stub axles out of the rear swing arms and fitted the dry type stubbies with great success !!! Now the arms are ready for Minitastic springs and Gaz Shocks. :)

You do realise that hydro arms have different geometry to the dry arms.....? Just sayin'... I dunno how it will affect fitting of springs.

Yep will probably have to make up spacers like I did on the blue mini. It's got minispares red coils fitted on the hydro frame and arms. The Minitastic coils are a bit longer so hopefully will be ok :)

Picked up my extractors and manifold after getting ceramic coated, and got them back on the car.

Cheers mate.
Just cranked the exposure (mobile phone photo), and that's it.
Sun was setting very rapidly - it was nowhere near as light as it is in that photo.

Changed oil in Moke. Dribbled oil on floor for the last time
Fitted spin on filter housing to full front moke. Pita of job.

Spent an hour searching for brake pipe booster. Good reason not to take 4 years to rebuild car.

Put a big pile of old carbs and manifolds through the glass bead blaster.
A bit of a challenge, the cabinet light is playing up, so had to do it with a torch peering through the top of the cabinet....

Yep. The original colour. Special Burgandy. The picture is very flattering. To the car of course! Not my wife and mum in the back....
