after getting the overhauled head back it was seeping a bit o oil down the front of the head, I figured I had applied the spray on sealant too thick.
Simple I say just replace the gasket.
Then it starts to drip a little oil onto the pistons when resting.
easy just fit these stem seals.
the head is NOT coming off for the THIRD time this week so did this.
the long nose pliers are for wriggling the springs so as to locate the collets.
also used a piece of 10mm key steel in place of the pliers.
then wriggled the complete assy for fitting collets

Finally got around to fitting an engine steady to the radiator end of the motor. Got fed up after snapping the other end gor the 3rd time. Then fitted up the adjustable camber and castor kit to the front end. Must say a m8ni with negative camber looks mean.

Printed off the measurements for the Doc's bush idler bearing puller and had a go at making it late last night. I'm no fitter and turner but I think its good enough.

I didn't have an o ring so I used a cable tie
I also didn't have an M12 tap so I used 1/2 bsw rod instead.

It work great. Big thanks Kev for your how to.

Needed to replace the CV boot, so I pulled off the front hub and slipped the shaft out of the pot joint.
One whack with the lump hammer and off came the CV. Slipped the new boot on, replaced the CV and did up the clips. Decided to check the lube of the balls in the pot joint only to find there was only 4 balls. Searched and searched the garage for the other 2 balls but to no avail :-(
I'm starting to think there never was 6 in there in the first place :-/
It's a terrible feeling knowing you are missing two balls :-)

Wrassled with a smart looking electric blue clubman.

Pulled dizzy to bits, pulled carb to bits, broke carbon brush in dizzy cap, smacked head on bonnet hook, sprayed fuel across engine bay, drained and topped up hydrolastic suspension to correct height.

All in all good fun :)

Fitted up the negative rear camber brackets. Did a wheel alignment then took for a spin. Awesome too drive. A lot more confidence into the corners.
