Hi everyone I'm new to this website. I have read through detailed the engine conversion of the Starlet engine into a Mini, but I can't seem to find a Swift conversion. I'm still looking at the positives and negiatives of both. Can You help.

My situation at the moment is I'm rebuilding a Classic Mini which hopefully I'll have the rust repaired, bottom paint, and on 4 wheels with the engine built and in by Xmas. But everyone knows "Best laid plays of mice and men..." will always change.

I also have a Clubman Mini waiting for an engine conversion and I have purchased a subframe 2/3 built. I'm currently buying parts for the Clubman.

Can U direct me to a Swift detail conversion like the Starlet's on this website.
Also provide info on which might be the best way to go.

this is my car. love it.. its fast reliable has a 5th gear.. you can have a conversation in my car when on the highway.

I would love a turbo but it's to much farting around rad in the boot etc.
and mine is already high compression, & i can not be buggered to pull it out to change pistons.

this is doing 105ATW & it's enough for me, Bd10 cams very drivable.
i never did the conversion but Gti tec josh does drive in drive outs, in sydney.

good luck.

Hi NG. I like what I see in your Mini. Love the colour.

Progress report on which way I am intending to go. I have found a bloke in the last week who has a Suzuki Swift Sedan with Gti running gear. The shell has had it. The block has a crack in it but I have done some research and have been told a normal G13B block is the same as the GTi block execpt with different running gear. Anyway it looks like I'm getting the all the engine and accessories, computer, wiring harness including harness for the rear lights, the fuse box, relays, gauges, steering lock with keys, all 4 disc brakes and calpiers.
The only thing I'm uncertain of is whether I need the drive shafts and rear hubs.

If I am not mistaken, drive shafts have to be custom made

You haven't updated your location so I don't know if you're local but I have every thing needed to do a swift conversion. No broken block or anything.

Price is negotiable.

Get everything you can off it, and any g13 block will do. A g13b is a gti engine.
A g13a was in sierras and normal swifts with a single cam head.

Thanks everyone for your replies.
Progress Report. I magined to acquire a 1.3Ltr Swift/Barina yesterday which has a G13B block and the gearbox feels alright. It is actual this has rego, which meant I could drive it home.
The Gti parts I should have within a week or two.
Spoke to Jason at GTiTEC about what parts are require for the build and the info he gave me is most appreciated.
On the driveshafts uncertained whether the drive shaft from the mini and GTi are combined. When al the parts arrive in will talk to Jason to find what else I need. But at least I can start with fitting the engine into the subrame and the car. :)
