Just bought one today. I'll dust off the car stands shortly and get it in.
Hopefully that will be the end of the overheating issues.

Cheers,
Mark.

Let me know when you're going to fit yours. If you're in Brisbane, we could get two done at once. I'm expecting my arrival next week.

Cheers,
Mark.

Hmmm...might have to go ask the wifey what she did with my radiator....

I think she gave it to me for Christmas.

On a serious note, they now have a 50mm core one with a thermo fan sender port. But at 83mm wide in total it's going to be hard to fit. You'd have to chuck the shroud and engine driven fan I reckon.

Looking at the photo the hole in the bottom appears similar to all the other radiatos,
so a rover temp sender won't fit.

ok mine arrived a while back, midway through installing it.. noticed it's not quite flat if I rest it on a bench ie it is somewhat twisted.. if you eye it up it's obviously out.. is anyone else's like this? I'm thinking of putting it in a vice and twisting it back but don't want to damage any of the joins on the core..

After close inspection quality is only OK. some knocks and marks on the alloy tanks, one largish one which i don't like the look of. Also what appear to be vice marks when the aluminium was bent.

Hopefully get it installed tomorrow and see how it goes. Along with new hi-flow water pump should be cool runnings man!

oh! what is the thread on the welded nuts? cheers!

Tim,

I will lay mine down on a flat surface and check it to see if mine is straight.

Mine also had a few knocks on the alloy tanks but none were that bad, as you say it looks like teeth possibly from a vice etc.

The thread on the welded nuts is M6 x 1 (dia 6mm, 1 thread per mm). I walked straight into supercheap and bought some allen key headed bolts for it. Be careful though because I couldn't find any the right length. I bought some washers the right size and cut the bolt to shorten the thread and then re-tapped the thread. All of the bolts I could find on the racks were way too long.

Hope that helps.

I just checked mine and it sits dead flat when on a smooth flat surface.

I fitted mine last weekend and then took her out for a spin was quite a hot day had no problems. It looks great fitted. I got my bolts for the rad shroud from the local bolt shop. Took the rad in with me so that they could give me the correct length. :D :D

i ended up buying one, its in the car now, only issue i have is the top mounting bracket didnt suit, as the radiator to thermostat housing was at the front of the motor, so my bracket didnt fit.

and i had to buy metric bolts to fit the two piece shroud, one of the bolt holes was slightly out of alignment, but alls well that ends well.

excellent buy, $95 bux, arrived in alice springs from china in 3 days. in the car now, havent overheated once, holding better than the standard radiator i had before.
