I was wondering if anyone could tell me what my diff ratio is. I've got a 1974 leyland (not an S or GT, just a normal deluxe?) 1100cc manual. And other details neede?

Thanks :D

Both my 1098 remote boxes (out of 1100 Clubbies) had a 3.647:1 diff.
If yours is a remote, that's my bet.
When they later changed to the 998 (99H motor) with rod change box they fitted a 3.44:1 diff. 8)

Hey doc, my '74 1100(1293 now) has a rod change box, and i'm pretty sure it's 3.44. I seem to recall they introduced rod change in '72.

Records are pretty scant on exact change dates since BL did a runner back to UK.

Rod change was intro'd in 73, definitely not 72. Not sure when the Oz made 1098 motors finished- there may have been some put on rod change boxes. I've got one like that here now (out of 13secmini's) but I dunno if it's original or on a later 998's box. It's all painted black.
The 1098 (maybe Mini-K but early Clubbie, I think) remote boxes I have both have a 3.647 in them, and green paint.
All rod change boxes I've stripped have had a 3.44 diff.

So, y'all go figure...
Count the teeth on CW/P if you're not sure.
18/62 is a 3.44, 17/62 is a 3.647. No these 2 crown wheels are NOT the same even though they have the same tooth count..
