I should have my new shafts next week and i dont want this to hold me up.

I know some corrolla's fit but are they also imports or aussie models

hope someone can shed some light for me

Fairly confident the JDM EP91, JDM EP82 are the same as the ADM EP91.

Out of curiosity, what happened to yours?

I reckon an AUssie Starlet would do it. Otherwise maybe try one from a Toyota Paseo.

I once tried a Corolla (not sure of model) and it didn't fit.

I've got a few spare driveshafts if you get desperate.

Hallsey - I did a ring around to a few places (2 wreckers & a CV place) here in Perth to see what I could find for you. All 3 places had full CV's but none were prepared to break them down for the one tri-bearing part. Cheapest I could get was $99 for a 2nd hand CV (which is a rip off considering you buy them new for that). The CV place didn't have any suitable 2nd hand CV's. That may be your only (expensive) option is to buy a new or 2nd hand CV? or to ring around to a few local CV places and see if they have any CV's they've replaced lately?

Ill strip the cvs out of my 6 speed gearbox and see what condition theyre in. If theyre good ill send you one of the ones from my auto box. The other is stuck on the driveshaft otherwise you could have that to.

I would give you one gratis if I had a spare Hallsey, but I dont - sorry.

You may have to bite the bullet and get a new tri-pot joint!!

Cheers,
Tricky

Well I do have a pair of tri-bearings in a ziplock bag sitting on my work bench which I won't be using for a LONG time yet (since the shell is only in it's sandblasting phase)... I didn't even think of them to be honest.

hallsey - email me (ausmini forums don't function during the day at work :( so PM's are no good during the day) and I'll post one over for you express if you need to. When you find a spare sometime in the next 12 months, send it back :D

Hallsey,

Thinking more about it, I should have 1 spare. I did end up with 3 complete toyota shafts so there must be a third one somehwere, I've just gotta find it.

Is the housing on yours damaged at all?

I've had a dig through my stuff and ive found one with no marks on the outside. it's yours if you want it.

btw when is the bearing flogged out? I have another with score marks on the outside. Is it still good to use?

It's the needle bearings that you need to be worried about and not really the "donuts". As long they are smooth in turning - and the outside has no deep scoring, then they are fine. They spend their life encased (and sealed with rubber boot) in white lithium grease anyway - when you reinstall them, it will be with new grease also.
