Jan it`s a "bleed" pipe,,, the water gallery behind there is actually higher than the top hose outlet hole so i drill it out above there to bleed out any air bubbles that would get caught

the 16v isn`t as bad in that dept, so i normally only do it to the 8vs

remember that these donks originally lay down so not a problem for the bike owners... But when we fit them to mini donks & stand them upright,,,well,,, i`d rather not have any "steam" caught inside the head

Good idea! had some thoughts on this with a bleed valve - but hey - keep it simple ;)

Have a gork at Harrys site,,, he`s welded up the water outlet & re-machined it higher to achieve the same/similar purpose,,, much more work doing it his way tho :-) i`d like to think that i do things more cost effective achieving the same results :-) & i can use it as the thermostat by-pass at the same time :-) I`m so damn smart hey? :-) :-) :-)

Harrys work is realy outstanding! I wish I had a mschine shop like this...

Well Matt, I like you conversions realy much! Steadily developing and all kept simple/easy - it's all in the smal details :) Keep on keeping on! :)

Cheers,
Jan
