Was that from the US bloke? Did they say anything about postage? For that cheap ill keep a spare as well. And if we all buy one hell make more.

Just got a message back from the US listing. It's the same guy but different region.

In his listing it says free posting but ebay has postage charge. It seems it was a mistake in his listing, so it works out roughly to be $144 AUD incl posting from the US listing. Aus listing is cheaper at $128 with free shipping.

I'm currently making a new plug for mine to take a temperature sensor, anyone able to identify the thread on theirs?
EDIT: Got it, its M16 x 1.5p.

I'll also point out that an aluminium plug in a radiator isn't the best idea, there's a fair chance it'll corrode. Don't use stainless either, the two metals will react and eat each other.

Took the plunge and bought the one from the link I just posted.

Checked out and paid using paypal, which the total only came to 79.99 USD...... meaning I paid $98 AUD total.......
Let's hope all goes smoothly.

Brass will corrode too. Aluminium should be fine in a standard setup, just make sure you dont put it in dry, so put a corrosion resistant paste on first maybe?

I'm making my new plug from steel then I'll zinc plate it. I'm only going steel because it will be hollowed out and I dont want to strip the head on an aluminium one.

There was only one listed for Australia - I bought one of 10 listed for the UK.
Arrived today. Surprisingly good quality, two VERY large cores.
Has bosses welded to take the original shroud, but you'd have to use metric bolts instead of the original screws. Even has a nice sized drain plug - even that is aluminium.

So was there a hole you put the water in?

Yep :D With a cap on it.
Also had three more holes. One top hose, one bottom hose, and one drain hole (with plug).

Can't believe how cheap these are. I'm now researching sizes to buy one for the AWDmoke as the Nissan radiator I have is too small. Think I can get a Celica one to fit.
