Talking dashes... if you dont want to go to the effort of custom making a modern day dash (even though that thing looks WICKED) and have a basic roundnose... is it possible to fit a clubman dash..? I dont necessarily want the clubman dials and stuff, what I want it the top part and bottom part of the dash (you know that high tech hard rubber/plastic thing in black that cracks after 100 years in the sun) and then to custom my own wood front to put my dials and stuff, with the speedo still in the centre. I was told the Clubman stuff fits, but before I go looking for one....

:D

yeah the rail on a roundie is the same as on a clubie if you look under the rail, i would make you dash, its really easy if you measure it out and do it properly, my dash is made of mdf and is just covered with a carbon fibre look sheet, u can get the stuff from auto barn for cheap, mines come up real nice!

i put a top rail on (as u can see in the pic) and it finishes it off well, u only have to modify the top rail to house the mk1 heater holes as they are in a different position, real easy though!

alternatively, you could make a top dash rail as I had done for bricktop...
it really blends the top of the dash and facia well.....

That dash looks wild.
Many rattles?
Did you do the brush effect with a sanding disc on a drill press?

3 screw hold it firmly in place... i had it checked by a cop a couple of onths back and he said it was fine....

it isnt that reflective as the mini windscreen is pretty vertical... Never had a blinding bit of light in 4 months...

I did the brushed effect with an orbital sander, just a hand held one...

it is pretty sweet i think... i have only heard one negative comment about it
