Type in the word "Blower"

Start reading

here's one of the topics on the forum that that search will bring up

do a search, big threads on blowers.... 998 won't go out much, you can put an 1100 crank in, and the max is about 1250

Personally, I'd find an SC-12 From a Japanese importer (Average $350 in Zoom Magazine....)
Make up some brackets, find some Late-model clubbie pullies (yep, the ones with the air-pump)
Whack a 2" SU on the intake side (yea, ok, there is a lot more to do than this, but you get the idea...)

An Vroom !!

Oh, you may want to play with pulley diameters and head chamber volumes to make sure it dont go *BOOM*

Then again, i investigated this route and Turbo was Easier, cheaper and more reliable in the end......

Drop me an email if you want more details about my setup.....

there are plenty of successful turbo installs around though, just cos one car screws up with a turbo install that is a) a bad install b) too much for the motor c) on a motor that was going to blow anyway c) any of heaps of reasons doesn't mean that your turbo install will go bad...

but I prefer a blower anyway, I was building up a kit for a 4AGZE blower (the SC12) mentioned above, but have put it aside in favour of honda power

There are mini's running around with the 4AGZE chargers, a guy in either adelaide or melb sells the kit, i'm sure it would just be a matter of running a different pulley setup so the charger gets spun the correct way..

had they used an intermediate pulley to reverse the direction when they installed it, cos I've seen them working with a belt straight off the harmonic balancer - that's what I was gonna do... doesn't matter much now, but I'm curious...
