My conversion frame experiences:

18 months ago frame totally severed in two places, causing passenger wheel to face north/south, driver side wheel to face east/west. Lucky i was doing 2km/hr pulling out of a parking space. additional support bars placed in frame as well as re-welding.

Also extension of frame holding alternator has broken 3-4 times, additional reinforcement each time, hope it lasts a while now :-)

I dont have an opinion as to how this may reflect on any party, just the history of the frame on my car, not sure of the history while Brad owned it?

Brad never had any trouble as far as im aware, Ray how many km's have you done in that thing now? I reckon you have done more than probably everyone combined! I think that your car has done the best out of everyone for the sheer distance travelled, the amount spent and the power/performance you are making.

It sucks that BIGBAD is still having teething problems, have you done many km's? How often do you drive it? Just trying to get an idea of the failure rate here.

Everything on that car is the biggest and best and strongest, with the power delivery (comes on a lot stronger and harder than my 200HP) and solid mounting then there is trial and error with sorting it out.

We have all had problems, but hopefully together we will get some sort of formula right.

My car has an appetite for driveshafts and i am also having problems with my alternator mount. It's all a learning experience. I'm planning to brace my frame some more underneath as i didn't think the 200HP was going to be this violent

Somethings got to be able to give somewhere along the line or things will break , is it lack of space or some other reason behind the hard mounting ?

So how many HP is lost by solid mounting an engine that is supposed to be rubber mounted? 8)
The flex in the frame is probably saving the crank bearings though! :D

It is funny but it may be true. I wonder if any thought went into this before they build the frame. :?

Everyone is using rubber mounts apart from BIGBAD.

Im using uprated polyurethane bushes in mine.
