Hey huns,
I'm frilly, said hi in toher section.
I just got me new baby and have problems, she wont start properly and all the lights go dim, I rang wayne, my car mate, and he told me to charge the battery, so i looked under the bonnet but cant find it, theres a funny round gold thing with 5 thick wires on it, so i was gonna hook charger to that but cant figure out how to,
Help me out here loves,

Frilly

Howdy, Yeah nah u wont find a battery under the bonnet bro, shes up back in the boot. U can still charge the battery from the front of the car though. Black connection is obviously earth so connect that to part of the body work which isnt insulated, provided the car is neg earth. The red connection is positive, u will more than likely have a starter solenoid mounted on top of the clucth case, at the left side of the engine.

There should be a nice thick cable running from it under the car. This goes to the battery. Clamp the red connector onto this and turn the charger on. You should be set, may want to get a multimeter on that battery at some stage while the engine is running to confirm the alternator is charging bro.

I found it now, What idiot put the battery back there?
Negative earth? it's a mini, I'm not too cleva on these fings. So foned up wayne agin, he sed to hook the charger to the battery and not mess round wif fings unda the bonnet, told me i was stoopid, last time he gets any 4 a while.

Anyway, i tried to connect the battery and put the red on on, then as i went to put theblack one on it touched the metal and there were all these sparks... i jumped outta the way super-quick and fell over, my heal got stuck in a drain, anyway, some nice bloke helped me up, and stuck it on properly... I going for a drink wif im tonite, maybe he'll get a reward for bein so nice to me...

Luv ya all, xxxxx
