would a rover bonnet and grill fit on an old round nose body.1 have a 1980 round nose mini i imported from nz .i crashed it and was wondering if i got an old round nose body could i use the bonet and grill of the 1980 mini as it is the same as the rover or jap imports :?

i know the grill sits up on the bonnet with the rover wheras the older aus minis had a complete seperate moustache not 100% sure but i know someone will know sorry i cant help.

You might find the Rover bonnet is the same fittingwise as your 1980 UK/UnZud Mini, measure the hinge spacings to be sure. :wink:
The Rover spacing is the same as Oz Clubbies... :shock:

Some of the rover bonnets have brackets for the hinges in close like the Aussie bonnets ,Steve at brickworx had one on eday a while ago.

easy enough to do.

i have rover fronts on both my minis.

bonnet needs hinges in a diferrent spot but with some careful measuring you can make some new ones and weld them on!

i have recently modified my delux to have a mk1 bonnet and grille on it instead of the rover ones i had on there!

it was easy you really shouldent have any problems, only big issue is the hinjes

anything else should be commmon sense.
