Yep,,, the Bimmer Twin cam conversion kits are pretty well all done,,, should be ready for sale with the debue set for the Qld Mini Muster at the end of the month

I have a pile of interested partys which i will reply to via e-mail but i will have a few kits at the muster along with the turbo twink moke, (whether it`s running or not) & i`ll also have a small bore engine with twinky cyl head & conversion kit on display as a static visual so everyone can see the ducks guts of it all


anyways,,, back into the surf for me, it`s about 4 to 5 ft here in Byron right now

Yeah all this talk but no proof, come on Matt .
I would like to see the power figures of say a 1275 with a std head and then the same engine with a conversion on it, I think that would give a fair idea of what to expect .

I am nearly done with mine but i have had to make some serious changes and dont know if it is even going to work!!

Without seeing one, I would be very surprised if the 16V BMW head doesn't double the power of a stock engine.. at least. Volumetric efficiency is where it's all at, the A-series siamese head was a shocker in that department.

I tghink most are seeing 130bhp with ease on a big bore block engine.

I am hoping for 80BHP with my 1062cc K100 8V

well,,, i didnt` dyno our N/A 1360cc one in my road mini, but it did have as much boot in the bum as my roady 1510cc donk, & that was no slouch at nearly 90Hp at the wheels on Bob Romanos Dyno Dynamics dyno

(((Edit--> The N/A Bimmer i am talking about was built as 8.1: comp ratio engine))))

But in saying that, the std 8v road bike in 1000cc form has approx 90hp

The 16v version comes ontop of an 1100cc donk & runs approx 100hp

both of those are std road bikes

Now i`ve turbo injected the one in the moke i`ve been doing & i`m expecting some decent numbers around the 150hp mark straight out of the box (on low boost & should produce over 200hp on high boost),,, & still with std cyl head, valves & cams etc,,, There are a few of these engine allready built & running all over the world now & some of those people have claimed well over 160hp in N/A form, one in particular has recorded over 200hp in turbo form allready & is still climbing with work still to be improved

I`m sorry that i Myself "ME" havn`t dynoed one yet, I really don`t need to yet...but the fact is that the std motorbike figures should allready tell anyone with a brain that there are big numbers to be gained buy adding one of these cyl heads to an A series with more cubes than the std road bike & then add a turbo if you want

there is lots of room for "MAJOR" improvements on the cyl head ports, valves & cams also

Simple physics tells the story,,, You really don`t need "ME" to tell you the obvious,,, do you???

My turbo charged V8 mini isn`t complete & running & dynoed yet either,,,, but do i really need to say that it`s also a little bit faster than a std A series too?????????????

These things are still in their infancy with very few running around the world,,, teething problems & improvements are happening & it won`t be long before someone produces a decent dyno sheet,,, I`m just doing way too many things to focus on one engine just to show people how good they are,,, sorry about that,,, i really do appologise for being so slow to build & tune them... I`ve had my plate full enough just trying to get the kits finished

besides, the surf has been pretty good lately
