Nah, didn't pick it up this weekend which worked out well because the dyno day is the following Saturday which means two trips to Sydney in two weekends. They promise they will have it ready by this Saturday. I can't lie I am a bit pissed off that it will have taken 3 weeks to do a tune but there you go. Also it is not my daily driver as I catch the bus now but still.

Oe of the delays was a crack in my manifold which they welded up, but also I am getting a profec B installed. Hopefully I get some more details before the weekend.

Cheers

M

Nice - goodluck with it all :)

What boost are you going to run with the profec? do you not have a controller at all now?

Had a mate just install a Profec B, and is very happy with it.

It's only 3 weeks.. breaking traction into third will make you forget all the drama ;)

Bzchi, Josh, well had a turbotech bleed jobbie but it seems it wasn't working properly and I was getting linear boost, ie the more revs the higher the boost, to the point where I could have possibly been running enough boost to blow the engine! Excellent.

Yeah B the Profec looks the goods (Hey Tricky has one!! ), it has been something I wanted to install (an EBC), as it would be nice to know what boost I am acutally running and also to be able to change it in car! Sheer bloody luxury!

As you say 3 weeks is not that bad and they have at least taken a complete approach to it rather than simply bits and pieces. As for what boost, probably 10 for town driving and 12-14 for performance demands. The good thing is it has 2 boost settings so the 10psi setting will also be the setting for rain (not that that will be a problem if the CSIRO are correct!).

Also Josh, did you break the 200hp barrier I am dying to know as are a few other people. What is your setup? If I get above 190hp on 14psi I'll be a happy man. Also just realised it was 2 years on the road as of 1 July!

Cheers

Congratulations on your anniversary Matt!
Cant wait to see it all together - it will be game on for sure!
Yep, Profec for me too - very flexible and easy to use.

Josh - we need to know the answer to the question.

Sounds good, hope they stick to their word and get you out this week :)

I was wondering how you managed to make so much power on so little boost  I havn't cracked the 200HP mark just yet, but chop helped me out and made the stickers a couple of years ago haha i figure it makes about that at the motor at least so it's not all bad :) My car too is in getting a better tune this week as well, we're all leaving it until the last minute!

Josh,

I saw your car at Scott's yesterday - I hope he gets it back together in time for Saturday.

Yeah I could have planned this a bit better hey! As for power output we will see, could end up being all talk and I end up with 50Kw atw! In general I find drive train losses to average about 25% so basically if I take my highest atw figure so far of 184hp that is 230 at the crank, there's your 200+hp. Also I was reading Wheels and they did a dyno run of the Ford GT6e and the Holden Calais V8, Ford rate the engine for 315Kw it put out 252 atw! ATW is the only true measure of hp output IMHO.

Cheers

I'm at 148kW at the wheels on my tune *grumble*, if you beat that I will have a reason to get off my ass and screw the boost up

Make sure you let me know when you have it back down here, so I can come round and check it out 8)

I think mine ran 135hp atw at standard boost at last years dyno day. We shut it down quick smart as it began to lean out  I have had it on a dyno since and the same thing happened. I purchased an Autronic about 9 months ago but have not had the time to install it  I also have some bigger injectors 385cc which should do nicely and have had the wastegate actuator ugraded on the turbo.

Also new number plates coming soon 8) . Will be interested to see how the hybrids perform on Saturday.

My money is on Josh with his newly bedded in donk

Dan,

How much extra horsepower from the new number plates?

Looks like 200fwhp is the figure to beat!
